Design Project Engineer I
Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Design Project Engineer I to join our talented team at our office located in Vaughan, Ontario!
Additional Responsibilities- Support the delivery of individual projects, focusing on quality objectives.
- Support the coordination of technical design disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and process automation on pharmaceutical industry projects.
- Coordinate resources to achieve project goals.
- Interact with clients on assigned projects and promote positive relationships.
- Develop working knowledge of project scope and apply knowledge to project activities.
- Coordinate review and approval from the Project Executive and/or Director of Operations, and communicate this information to the project team.
- Help with the development and maintenance of written project scopes of work and communication of this information to the project team.
- Develop a thorough understanding of contractually required quality in design and construction and support quality assurance for the project.
- Monitor design content and quality and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance with basis documents, schedule, and budget.
- Assist with the procurement and coordination of all required project resources, including intradivisional, interdivisional, and extracorporate.
- Support the Project Manager in the preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, change control documentation, and related financial documentation.
- Work with Document Control to ensure that all project documents are distributed, reviewed, and stored to meet project and corporate requirements.
- Support the Project Manager in ensuring compliance of project activities with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree qualified in appropriate management, engineering subject, or equivalent years of experience in a technical field.
- 1-5 years of engineering experience working for an A/E firm.
- Construction or manufacturing experience will be considered if related to design.
- Expertise in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting.
- General knowledge of system design and applicable codes in specific discipline-related areas (Mechanical, Structural, Plumbing, Electrical, or Process).
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE, formerly known as EIT) exam completion or Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
Travel duration, if any, is based on project complexity and location. This position is a safety-sensitive position. The employee is designated for field work and attends activities at client sites where they work in construction, process, packaging, manufacturing, research, or other "non-administrative" areas.
