Accounts Payable Specialist (contract)

Position Overview
Reach is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Support Specialist for a 3-month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanent full-time employment once the contract ends. This role is ideal for someone with a solid bookkeeping and accounts payable foundation who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.You will support our finance team in managing accounting records, data entry, and intercompany transactions, contributing to the smooth operation of our global business.
Responsibilities- Accurately enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
- Process accounts payable transactions and assist with reconciliations
- Calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Support intercompany accounting and multi-currency transactions
- Prepare and review spreadsheets and reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
- Data entry skills with a knack for numbers
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-currency accounting is an asset
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary accounting software
- Proficiency in English, in MS Office and Google Suite
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or relevant accounting certification
- Experience with Sage X3 and/or Oracle Netsuite is an asset

Location and Hours of Work
This contract position is based in Calgary, AB. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) and follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office.
