Controller

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the construction or masonry industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Provide financial support to project managers by tracking budgets, managing invoices, and monitoring contract documentation.
• Generate detailed financial and operational reports, analyze trends, and present insights to senior leadership.
• Utilize accounting software and project management tools to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely processing.
• Oversee general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of financial statements.
• Administer bi-weekly payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labour regulations, including union dues remittance.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, labour standards, and industry-specific regulations, maintaining proper documentation for audits.
• Supervise day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, file management, and vendor communications.
