Senior Manager, Regulatory Initiatives (Contract)
Job Summary
Oversees day-to-day operations of the corporation's comprehensive compliance function and ensures consistency in approach to and compliance with internal business process rules and external regulations. Typically manages 2 or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.

What is the opportunity?
In this role, you will act as the Lead and or delegate on regulatory/compliance matters impacting the Creditor and Travel Insurance businesses. You will collaborate with other platforms and functional partners across Banking and Insurance to coordinate requirements within complex projects.You will proactively identify risk and mitigation and escalate to senior management as needed.
What will you do?- Responsible to lead initiatives to implement regulatory requirements with multiple partners (e.g., Product Management, Operations, Sales Enablement, Third Parties)
- Ensures compliance requirements are addressed, risk mitigation proactively identified
- Drives the development and/or monitoring of controls to support compliance requirements and risks identified
- Strategically manage key regulatory requirements and ensures alignment with business strategies and operational requirements (i.e., is client-friendly, efficient and commercially reasonable)
- 5 years previous Compliance/Regulatory or Risk Management experience
- Demonstrated experience in driving change, with proven ability to lead and influence
- Analytical skills, managing Regulatory and Compliance risks
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, as proposals, presentations and recommendations, advice/ counsel are often presented to senior leaders, and/ or Compliance, Law Group, etc.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate across multiple lines of business/operations teams, platforms
