Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Acts as an ambassador for the brand at all times, and leads others to do the same in a way that differentiates the restaurant from our competitors.
- Believes in our Values & Promises and demonstrates them consistently in interactions with Team Members, Guests, Communities, Investors and Supplier Partners.
- Ensures exceptional guest service and brand activation through food quality and presentation – executes and promotes our service strategy.
- Supports the restaurant Leadership team in maintaining and facilitating all aspects of restaurant operations in accordance with our Team Member Handbook, Policies and Procedures to ensure alignment to consistent Company practice.
- Supports the restaurant Management team with food and beverage inventory and purchasing.
- Achieves continual growth in operational standards as demonstrated by improved efficiency and quality of food and kitchen operations. Protects the integrity of, and adheres to all recipes and procedures.
- Coach, lead, and develop our Team Members and help to ensure they receive great training and support.
- Manages the financials, and work to achieve and exceed established goals.
- Oversees the total business operations and continues to ensure that the location is a reflection of the Jack Astor’s brand.
Requirements:
- 5 years previous restaurant management experience in an AGM or GM role that is in a comparable restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills to train and mentor our Team Members.
- Strong organization skills and effective planning to reach set goals. These skills need to be executed in day-to-day restaurant situations and in business planning.
- Strong computer skills and basic software experience.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution.
- Willing to take on challenges to move the business forward.
- Strong floor leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate our Team Members.
- Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
- Previous experience with scheduling, labour and product cost control, inventory.
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation.
