Da Nico Restaurant is currently seeking for passionate and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our expanding team.
After the great success achieved at Don Alfonso 1890 with the awarding of one Michelin Star in 2022, Chef Daniele Corona has teamed up with hospitality icon Nick Di Donato from the Liberty Entertainment Group to open Da Nico in the heart of downtown Toronto's vibrant Little Italy neighbourhood.

Just one year into operations, Da Nico and Chef Daniele have already been honoured with another Michelin Star.

What we are looking for:
The Restaurant Manager will play a crucial role in the overall success of Da Nico. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will collaborate closely with the Head Sommelier and Executive Chef to ensure consistency, quality, budget control, team well-being, and guest satisfaction.

The Restaurant Manager will also actively participate in planning and organizing all food, beverage, and service operations.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating a reservation system and possess strong knowledge of food and wine. They will have a proven ability to lead a team in delivering an outstanding guest experience while effectively upholding the company’s policies and philosophy.

We seek someone with an unwavering commitment to hospitality, a passion for food and beverage, and a keen eye for detail in providing excellent service. Previous experience in fine dining and knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines are advantageous.

A strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit are essential for this role.

Qualifications:

  • WSET Level 2 or higher preferred
  • Proficient in Open Table and Microsoft Office
  • Previous managerial experience, ideally in fine dining
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong focus on detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a proactive approach
  • Capable to work weekends and evenings
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Must be available for full-time work

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee weekly reservations and collaborate with the event coordinator during private events.
  • Actively engage during service to identify and proactively address potential issues
  • Work closely with the General Manager on day-to-day operations
  • Perform opening and closing shift responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach team members to foster growth and skill development.
  • Participate in the hiring and training process to effectively select and nurture talented staff.
  • Promote mutual respect, confidence, and trust among team members.
  • Manage guest interactions and recovery efforts to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies are available and place orders as needed.
