Robert Half currently has a permanent position open for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a large Real Estate Company in central GTA. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of all yearly and quarterly corporate financial statements, reports and tax returns and other special reports as required.
You will also review the working paper files prepared by the Project Accounting department. As a Senior Accountant, you will act as a mentor to colleagues and provide direction to departments on accounting and reporting issues. . Major responsibilities- Preparation of all yearly and quarterly corporate financial statements, reports & tax returns for compliance and other special reports as required.
- Preparation of year‐end files
- Review the working paper files prepared by the Project Accounting department and Corporate Accountants
- Involvement in corporate tax planning and execution of plans.
- Provide direction to other departments re accounting and reporting issues.
- Help improve financial systems to provide the required financial information in the most efficient manner.
- Coordinate with external and internal clients concerning accounting and reporting issues.
- Assist with special projects as required including Board Reporting.
