LOCATION: 560 Victoria Street N. | Kitchener, ON. N2H 5G2SHIFT: Part Time - Friday (9pm to 9am) and Sunday (9am to 9pm)
RATE: $18.50/hr
Responsibilities:
- Scale all ingredients according to recipes.
- Cut, weigh, scale, measure and place dough in bins/mixing bowls and move into fermentation area
- Fill mixers with pre-measured ingredients in correct sequence.
- Monitor and maintain the correct size, color and weight of various products as set out by our recipe specifications
- Troubleshoot dough, adding ingredients to ensure the quality expectations are being met and taking into account the variables such as ingredients, temperature
- Keep the area clean and put away utensils in the proper location after use. Adhere to all Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and procedures and have an understanding and respect for GMPs.
Requirements:
- A lover of bread and baked goods!
- You have strong people skills—you’re approachable, a good listener, and empathetic
- You have previously worked in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)
- You have previous baking experience, and ideally some knowledge of SAP
- You are comfortable lifting 30-50 pounds to move our ingredient packages and cases
- Like working in a fast-paced environment, be self-reliant, and be energized by opportunities to learn and grow, and be a steward of your own career
- Solid mathematical skills to help bring our recipes to life in the bakery
- You’re dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
