Our valued Financial client is actively seeking a Bilingual Intermediate Java Developer to support a client with web application rewrite with Angular framework.
Initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension or permanency working hybrid (2 days onsite) in Montreal, QC.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate older legacy application screens to Angular as well as develop and maintain user-facing features using Angular.
- Collaborate with other developers to integrate APIs and other services.
- Work in resolving bugs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years (Angular) experience.
- Experience with Java
- Experience with GitHub
- Must have excellent communication skills in French and English.
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with OpenShift, Jenkins, Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge in SOAP, XML and ThymeLeaf.
