Business Development Manager, Infrastructure (Lower Mainland)
About the Role :
- Establishes and cultivates strong client relationships with large Mechanical contractors involved in bidding and executing industrial projects, offering innovative solutions and advising on alternative product offerings to optimize performance and ensure client satisfaction.
- Develops a business plan for industrial operations, focusing on target customers, sales strategies, revenue goals, and growth.
- Coordinates sales activities with sales teams from other divisions to cover Irrigation, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and HVAC needs for target customers.
- Conducts customer training sessions for sales teams across all divisions, ensuring they are well-equipped to effectively sell products to target customers, and serves as a technical resource to support the sales process and help close deals.
- Collaborates with Inside Sales Representatives, ICONIX team members, and sister companies to drive growth in Municipal, Industrial, and Mechanical sales. This involves providing product information, preparing price quotes, processing orders, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
- Provides Civil and Mechanical quoting services for both large integrated projects and stand-alone Mechanical and Civil sales.
- Conducts site visits to gain a deeper understanding of customer needs and project requirements.
- Meets with Municipalities and Engineering groups to achieve Civil and Mechanical specification approval and expand available market and ICONIX market share.
- Attends and presents at trade shows, conventions, and lunch-and-learns to develop GDI brands and expand the customer base.
- Identifies new market opportunities to drive business growth by staying informed of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Regularly provides market insights and updates to the VPGM and Regional Sales and Operations Managers to support strategic decision-making.
- Works with Regional Operations and Sales Managers on stocking materials and efficient inventory management.

Who We're Looking For :
- Post-secondary diploma strongly preferred
- 5 years of related experience
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Valid Driver’s License
