Accountant

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves supporting our finance team with day-to-day operations and handling various accounting tasks. The chosen candidate will be primarily responsible for Accounts Payable and Receivable, and will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Ensure customer inquiries are resolved in a timely manner
• Monitor customer accounts and execute appropriate actions when necessary
• Handle Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring all invoices are approved for processing in a 30 day period
• Manage expenses through Certify, ensuring they are processed and paid back
• Conduct Accounts Receivable collections, including calling customers or clients to receive payments
• Maintain existing Excel formulas, no creation of complex formulas is required
• Utilize various accounting software systems including QuickBooks and NetSuite for day-to-day tasks
• Uphold professional communication and interpersonal skills in a small organization setting
• Adapt to a hybrid on-site work schedule of 2-3 days per week.
