The Digital Pathology (DP) Data Services Team at Roche is dedicated to providing exceptional data management, generation, and validation services to propel DP science and discovery teams in their algorithm research and development endeavors.Our team comprises immensely talented and diverse individuals, united by our mission to improve the lives of every patient battling cancer.
We are eager to welcome skilled Data Managers to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research and collaborative studies in digital pathology. These projects encompass large clinical studies, comprehensive analyses across various data types (images, annotations, and metadata), and innovative AI-driven initiatives.
As a Data Manager, you will collaborate with imaging scientists, pathologists, statisticians, and computer scientists to ensure meticulous organization, accuracy, and optimization of our image datasets, fostering collaborative research efforts.
We are excited to offer two positions at our Mississauga Campus, presenting an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic and impactful team.
The Opportunity:
- Engage with large clinical studies and perform in-depth analysis across images, annotations, and metadata.
- Participate in AI-driven initiatives alongside a multidisciplinary team of imaging scientists, pathologists, statisticians, and computer scientists.
- Ensure well-organized, accurate, and optimized image datasets to support collaborative research efforts.
- Coordinate with key digital pathology stakeholders both within Roche and with external collaborators to enable seamless data access and integration.
- Manage and organize diverse data sources and modalities, including imaging data, multi-omics, patient/sample metadata, real-world evidence, and clinical trial data.
- Embrace a flexible and learning mindset in a dynamic environment, and pursue creative solutions to complex challenges.
- Flexible working hours may be required for collaboration with global team members
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in science with experience in managing datasets for large studies.
- Excellent skills in Excel, and familiarity with Python, R, and bash scripting for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with SQL, Linux, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
- Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a proactive and collaborative team mindset.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Science
- Prior experience in digital pathology, medical imaging;
- Previous experience with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance and FDA compliance
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment
