Your role and responsibilities

The Data Analyst - Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and planning preventive and corrective maintenance activities at the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu plant (100% on-site, daytime position).

Working closely with maintenance teams, supervisors, and suppliers, the planner ensures the development of schedules, coordination of resources, and optimization of processes to ensure effective and efficient maintenance. Key responsibilities include work planning, resource coordination, process optimization, activity tracking, priority management, interdepartmental collaboration, technical document preparation, supplier management, use of management tools, and continuous improvement.

The Data Analyst - Maintenance Planning plays a vital role in maximizing equipment availability, reducing downtime, and improving the reliability of the company’s equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Work Planning: Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance schedules based on established priorities, production requirements, and resource constraints.
  • Resource Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and suppliers to ensure the availability of the necessary labor, equipment, and parts for maintenance tasks.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and improve maintenance planning and execution processes to ensure efficient use of resources and reduced downtime.
  • Activity Tracking: Monitor and document completed work, completion times, associated costs, and results to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Priority Management: Assess emergencies and priorities based on operational needs and allocate resources accordingly to minimize production interruptions.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and procurement teams to plan maintenance interventions and minimize operational impacts.
  • Technical Document Preparation: Develop and maintain procedures, checklists, maintenance plans, and other technical documents necessary for carrying out tasks.
  • Supplier Management: Coordinate with external service providers to schedule interventions, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Use of Management Tools: Master computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other software to track activities, generate reports, and facilitate decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions to optimize equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Qualifications for the role
  • University or college degree in a relevant field such as data analysis, industrial management, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in planning and coordinating maintenance work, preferably in an industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods.
  • Proficiency with maintenance planning tools and software, such as Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations, ISO9001 standards, environmental regulations, electrical codes, and building codes (as per current legislation).
  • Ability to analyze data and use performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of maintenance processes.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating closely with maintenance supervisors and other departments.
  • Initiative and ability to solve problems proactively.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency with common office software.
