We are seeking a highly collaborative and analytical Actuarial Analyst to join our team. This position requires building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and utilizing exceptional analytical and investigative skills to drive business decisions.

What will you do?
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of actuarial models, including data preparation, modeling, and validation.
  • Participating in projects involving valuation, financial reporting, and analytics.
  • Gathering and analyzing relevant data from a variety of sources using multiple actuarial tools and techniques.
  • Streamline procedures and develop advanced methodologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the reserving process.
  • Driving automation and complexity reduction and transitioning towards new ways of collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in actuarial science.
  • Collaborate with senior actuaries to prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Perform deep dive/ad hoc innovative analysis as required.

What will you need to succeed?

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a relevant fields
  • ASA and/or ACIA
  • Minimum 3 years of actuarial work experience with valuation, financial reporting, and/or analytics
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools, such as GGY AXIS, and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Have:

  • Progress toward FSA destination
  • Familiarity with actuarial valuation, financial reporting, and insurance assumptions
  • Experience with BI tools, Tableau preferred
  • Experience with IFRS17
  • Familiarity with insurance products and risk management practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment
