Mackenzie Health is a regional healthcare organization that is comprised of two sites, Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital and the newly built, state-of-the-art Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. Position Overview
The successful candidate will join a collegial, dedicated team consisting of 5 general medical oncologists and 3 hematologists (1 benign and 2 benign/malignant). The Oncology Clinic Team includes a dedicated psychotherapist and palliative care physicians, in addition to oncology nurses, chemotherapy pharmacists, administrative assistants, social workers and dieticians.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for inpatient Hematology consults, benign and malignant at both sites, on a rotating schedule with Hematology colleagues. All Hematology inpatients at both hospital sites are admitted under the hospitalist inpatient care model with Hematologists providing only inpatient consultation services (not MRP).Along with other Department of Medicine subspecialists, Hematologists are required to round approximately one weekend every 8-12 weeks on a Medicine inpatient ward from 8am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Support from the Laboratory, Pathology, Diagnostic Imaging and Interventional Radiology Departments is readily available and wait times for reporting, imaging and procedures are reasonably short.

- Independent license or eligible for an independent license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
- FRCP(C) with certification in Hematology and eligible for APP under the ONT MOA agreement.
- Eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
- Member of the Canadian Medical Protection Association in good standing.
