We are a Canadian retail business dedicated to providing high-quality children’s footwear and apparel. We are currently seeking a Store Manager to support the expansion of our business, oversee daily operation of our retail location, and address diverse customer needs.

Position Details:

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate
Location: Unit H006, 9350 Yonge St, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 5G2
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time
Salary: $67,600 to $79,000 per year

Benefit: Paid vacation days

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, evaluate and oversee all aspects of the retail store operations to ensure effective processes are in place to meet sales and performance goals.
  • Train, supervise, and assign duties to staff members to develop a high-performing team.
  • Monitor the market trends, customer preferences and competitors’ operations to adjust the store’s products, policies and sales strategies accordingly.
  • Manage the selection and pricing of merchandise to ensure a competitive and appealing offering to customers.
  • Build relationships with vendors and negotiate terms to ensure optimal procurement of merchandise for resale.
  • Develop and implement promotional activities and initiatives to attract customers, boost sales, and elevate brand visibility.
  • Manage and monitor the store's financial performance, authorizing expenditures to ensure the store operates within budget and maximizes profitability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns, responding to customer inquiries or issues promptly and ensuring a positive shopping experience that aligns with the company’s standards.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and retention of store staff, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or higher in business, retail management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 months of management experience in chain store management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing priorities and market trends.
  • Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and corporate strategy.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and during special events.
