We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled AI and Data Management student or summer intern to join our growing Enterprise Data Management Team (EDMT) within KPMG's ITS.
The co-op intern will assist the EDM team as part of the Data Governance practice, support communication with the internal data community, develop the governance model around AI and ML, and provide assistance on various projects. What you will do Collaborate with the Data Management team to ensure data is managed and governed effectively.
Support the EDMT team by maintaining and developing the internal website, ensuring it is up-to-date and meets the needs of our stakeholders. Conduct research and assist in developing the governance model around AI, ML (including ChatGPT), and code development, including the creation of policies, procedures, and standards.
Assist the team on Data Management projects such as Data Compliance, Data Cataloguing, Data Classification, and Access Control. What you bring to the role Currently pursuing a 3rd or 4th year bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience with website development and maintenance, particularly in a SharePoint environment. Preferred understanding of data management principles and practices. Proficiency in Python, Machine Learning, LLMs and ChatGPT. Knowledge of Access Control mechanisms. Knowledgeable in MS Office. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others. Experience in development and new technologies (AI, ML) or cloud platforms (MS Azure). Preferred experience in SharePoint website development and maintenance.
