The Role:

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects and systems.

Opportunities:

Daily opportunities to work directly with the Manufacturing team in our onsite manufacturing facility where we fabricate, machine and assemble equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for existing products (change management, failure analysis, trouble shooting, etc.)
  • Own the preparation of detailed technical documentation as part of the TDP (technical data package), including project plans, engineering drawings, specifications, and reports, to communicate project status, findings, and recommendations effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and performance enhancement, proposing and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply engineering principles, methodologies, and technologies to support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Play an important role in the ECN (Engineering Change Notice) process ensuring that all changes to engineering specs, drawings and illustrations are documented.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, designers, vendors, and clients, facilitating effective communication and teamwork throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Convert 2D drawing data into accurate 3D models

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a role involving design, project management and customer support functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical issues, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining compliance and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential risks and challenges in engineering projects.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftSight
  • Ability to multi-task and work on several projects at the same time
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel
