Responsibilities

• Acquire archival materials to build and develop an archival collection
• Appraise archival materials
• Develop and maintain archival collection
• Authenticate historical documents and records
• Research the origins and historical significance of archival materials
• Assist users in accessing archival materials
• Design programs for managing, disseminating and storing archives of all types
• Develop policies and procedures to manage corporate cataloguing systems, records scheduling and disposal, and finding aids
• Organize noncurrent archives and develop cataloguing and retrieval systems to allow access to archival materials
• Plan the computerized management of archives and the management of electronic archives
