YWHO engages youth, family members, service providers, and other partners through a co-creation process, enhancing the relevance, acceptability and youth friendliness of services. The hubs are provincially-consistent in core features and locally led and adapted to offer and connect to a range of evidence-based services-mental health care, substance use health services, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer support, family support and care navigation-in youth-friendly spaces.
Outcomes are rigorously evaluated within and across hubs, focusing on positive outcomes in areas of wellness important to youth and their families. The YWHO Provincial Office (YWHO PO) and its 27 Networks operate as a Learning Health System, where evidence, data, and care culture are used to generate new knowledge and continuously refine and deliver best practices for continuous improvement in mental health and substance use care.
Position Description
Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario Provincial Office (YWHO PO) is seeking a full-time Program Manager, Provincial Initiatives. This position will report to the Director Clinical Services and Implementation, and work closely with the YWHO Leadership team.The Program Manager will be chiefly responsible for leading the implementation of key provincial programs under the YWHO umbrella. The Program Manager works closely with the YWHO Provincial Office Leadership, and in collaboration with YWHO Networks and provincial partners to expand the reach and breadth of Integrated Youth Services (IYS) across the YWHO Network.
The Program Manager, Provincial Initiatives, will provide leadership and manage projects and programs related to enhancing YWHO networks and IYS across Ontario. Program areas include eating disorders, hospital community partnerships, substance use, among others.The Program Manager will establish and oversee partnerships to drive and deliver on specific provincial initiatives across the YWHO Network. They will foster strong working relationships with YWHO Networks directly involved in provincial programs and initiatives.
The Program Manager will be responsible for allocating staff resources, in collaboration YWHO Leadership, to develop cross-functional teams that centre equity, respect and inclusion. The Program Manager is responsible for strategic project management and planning to ensure YWHO provincial initiatives respond to the needs of diverse youth across YWHO networks, working in collaboration with the Director, Data Management and Evaluation and the Clinical Practice Lead and YWHO Network Leads.
The Program Manager will develop relationships with external provincial partners as well as relevant stakeholders within CAMH to lead the co-design, development and implementation of enhancements to the integrated youth services available at select YWHO sites across Ontario.The Program Manager will work with YWHO leadership to develop and execute initiative specific governance structures, project and change management plans, and communication and training required for successful implementation of provincial initiatives.
The Program Manager will develop quarterly and annual program reports for funders, work with YWHO Director Data Management & Evaluation to oversee evaluation of program and initiatives, report on program spending and budgeting and identify and communicate risks and mitigation plans to YWHO PO leadership.
The Program Manager will ensure programs and initiatives are informed by the perspectives of youth and families through engagement with provincial youth and family advisories, working in collaboration with YWHO engagement and equity staff.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in an Allied Health Discipline (Master’s degree preferred) and will be a member of good standing with an applicable regulatory body.
Minimum five years progressive leadership experience in a healthcare environment or leadership experience combined with prior clinical experience in the field of mental health and addiction.
This position requires experience in mental health and/or substance use field and previous experience with YWHO or other integrated models of service delivery for youth with substance use and/or mental health concerns. You will demonstrate an understanding of the complex substance use and mental health needs of the youth population as well as have familiarity with youth mental health treatment modalities, clinical care processes, and quality improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated strength in project management and program planning, bringing implementation of evidence-informed interventions to services for young people, is required. A PMP designation would be an asset.
Demonstrated experience of advancing health equity in systems change work and operationalizing anti-racism, anti-oppression and anti-colonial principles in organizational practice is also required.
The successful candidate will also have extensive experience in managing cross-sectoral stakeholder partnerships, facilitating and chairing networks, and forming governance structures for inclusive and collaborative decision-making to advance provincial programs and initiatives.
This individual has superior facilitation and presentation skills and is comfortable engaging and presenting to audiences at various levels including executive, clinical, leadership and the public.
