Technical Project Manager (Must be in Toronto, CA)

As part of the project team in Toronto, you will take a lead role in developing real-world systems for our customers that take 1000s of calls every single day. You will work closely with Project Managers, Software Engineers and Dialogue Designers to build out and maintain highly specialised software that delights our clients and their customers.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects to ensure the proposed plan abides by the timeline, team capacity, budget, and scope. This role involves technical expertise, project management, and team management skills.

Salary: 140,000 CAD - 180,000 CAD

Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering / Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience with agile project management, such as scrum, kanban, post-mortems etc.
  • Adept in using project management and capacity planning tools in professional service teams.
  • 2+ years of software engineering manager experience.
  • Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or Go.
  • Working proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably in a related industry.
  • Knowledge of REST API environments, Git and SQL.
  • Willing to get hands-on solving problems to help the team and project move forward.
  • A proactive collaborator with experience in interacting with different teams of varying complexity

Main Responsibilities:

Project and Resource Management:

Strategically planning and overseeing the development stages of projects.

Allocate and manage the build resources effectively to meet project demands.

Acting as the main channel of communication which involves Product Solution Managers, Software Engineers, Dialogue Designers, and other stakeholders in the company.

Collaborating with other technical project managers on resource planning and team building.

Evaluating project performance metrics and facilitating improvements to meet the best industry standards.

Documenting processes and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Team Leadership:

Manage and inspire a team of engineers and bot building professionals.

Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
