Accounts Payable Specialist

We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team located in Aurora, Ontario, Canada. In this role, you will be tasked with managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Your work will be integral to the smooth operation of our financial department and the overall financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Keep accurate records of all payments including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements.
• Conduct regular checks and reconciliations of processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Utilize various software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Code invoices accurately for the appropriate department or project.
• Conduct regular check runs and manage accounts payable using relevant systems.
• Resolve any arising inquiries or issues related to accounts payable.
• Maintain and organize digital and physical financial records.
• Regularly update skills in account reconciliation and accounts payable.
