Status: (3) Contract Full-Time position up to 12 months and (2) contract part time positions up to 12 months

Work Mode: Onsite

Location and working hours:

  • 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
  • Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
  • 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga
  • Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
  • 9 Wellington Street East, Brampton
  • Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Thursday 4:00PM – 9:00PM
  • Saturday 9:30AM – 5:00PM
  • Sunday 12:30PM – 5:00PM

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (full time) and 25 hours per week (part time), you could be scheduled at any location for any shift. Availability to work various shifts which include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

We are dedicated to serving the residents of Peel with the highest level of customer service. Our Service Delivery team is the frontline contact for a range of Peel Region programs, services, and corporate-wide initiatives. Service Peel provides customer-facing counter service at 10 Peel Centre Drive, 7120 Hurontario Street and 9 Wellington Street East.

PAMA is a cultural hub sharing the stories of Peel.

What you will do in this role:

You will serve as the main point of contact for visitors to Peel Region. You will be responsible for a variety of reception and client-focused activities and delivering exceptional customer service to our visitors.
  • Respond to telephone and direct public inquiries with respect to Regional programs and services
  • Provide clients with information and documentation pertaining to Regional programs and services
  • Responsible for selling Corporate Gifts, PAMA Store items and Regional products
  • Process payments for various Regional services, such as Water and Waste water charges, TransHelp services, garbage tags, housing arrears and PAMA admissions, memberships and registrations
  • Acknowledge receipt, reconcile and deposit all payments: maintain accurate records and contact point for small courier packages

What the role requires:

  • Highschool diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
  • A minimum of 2 years office experience with a strong customer service focus
  • Previous Service Ontario and / or municipal government experience (preferred)
  • Experience handling cash and balancing using Atrex
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite, MS Teams and reporting
  • Valid "G" Driver's Licence with daily reliable access to a vehicle to travel as necessary to various sites as needed
  • Clear Criminal Record Check prior to Start Date
