ANC is currently recruiting for the role of full-time, permanent Electrical Technician (Journeyman). Instrumentation will be considered if it is a dual ticket alongside an Electrical Journeyman.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain electrical equipment such as VFD’s, Distribution Switch Gear, Transformers, and AC/DC Motors and Drives
- Maintain and develop DCS/PLC process control systems
- Perform, develop and update PM requirements for process plant equipment
- Participate in shutdown planning and scheduling activities as required
- Participate in RCM investigations of equipment failures and reliability issues and follow-up of corrective actions
- Update and create equipment documents and job procedures

Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a self-managing team
- Demonstrated maintenance best practices for equipment care
- Experience in DCS/PLC programming
- Experience with projects and project management
Minimum requirements:
- Provincial trade certificate as an Electrical Journeyman
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial journeyman maintenance experience
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license
Preference will be given to:
- Power Generation experience
- Dual ticketed journeyman in Electrical and Instrumentation
- Working with ABB Infi90, 800xA experience
- Pulp and Paper maintenance experience
