Our valued client is seeking an Intermediate Production Controller to manage MRP processes, optimize production schedules, and resolve operational issues

Initial 6 month contract in Ottawa

• Support the MRP system and production cell activities and executes on work orders.
• Analyze MRP reports daily, addresses issues impacting the execution of work orders.
• Administer processing of MRB items on the shop floor.
• Manage production configuration control through the build cycle by processing and implementing , PDC’s , PDI’s and other change traffic;
• Anticipate and analyzes issues that may impact the production build schedule; in consultation with others, develops and actions achievable recovery plans.
• Generate, distribute, and review weekly build schedule from MRP.
• Identify and resolves any MRP issue related to assigned tasks.
• Communicate schedule status and current & potential delinquencies to Product and Program Managers.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to other Production Controller; perform other related duties as required.

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience as a Production Controller (or similar role) working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with MRP (Material requirements planning) systems and processes
• Eligible for Reliability clearance (5+ years in Canada)

Nice to Haves:

• APICS CPIM, CIRM or CSCP Certification
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Experience with project management methodologies or tools.
