About Our Client
Our client is global provider of travel media and advertising solutions, offering a full spectrum of digital and traditional advertising platforms. As they expand their footprint across Canada, they are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Sales Director to drive business development and establish strong, long-term partnerships.
Job DescriptionBusiness Development & Market Expansion:
- Identify and target new business opportunities, including prospective clients.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with company goals and targets high-value clients.
- Research and analyze the Canadian market to understand emerging trends, new industries, and areas with growth potential for media and advertising.
- Build a strong pipeline of new business by prospecting and engaging with C-suite executives, senior marketers, and key decision-makers.
Client Relationship Building & Strategic Partnerships:
- Cultivate long-term relationships with new clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and marketing objectives.
- Develop tailored media and advertising proposals that provide creative, impactful solutions to clients.
- Position the company as a trusted partner and strategic advisor by delivering valuable insights and demonstrating industry expertise.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process to close high-value deals.
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Lead and manage the business development process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring efficient and effective sales cycles.
- Monitor and assess the competitive landscape to identify areas of opportunity and potential threats, adapting strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, and product development, to align on strategies and deliverables.
- Drive growth through new client acquisition while identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities within existing accounts.
Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets and KPIs in alignment with the company's growth objectives.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on business development progress, pipeline health, and sales forecasts.
- Continuously evaluate and refine business development strategies to optimize performance and meet/exceed sales goals.

The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. MBA is a plus.5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with at least 3 years focused on selling media and advertising solutions.
Proven track record of generating new business, negotiating contracts, and establishing long-term client relationships.
Strong understanding of the Canadian digital media and advertising landscapeSelf-starter with a strategic mindset and the ability to work autonomously while driving results.
Ability to speak Spanish would be an asset.
