We are always looking for the best and brightest to join our creative marketing team. Umbra’s Creative Marketing team is currently looking for a Graphic Design Intern who will report directly to the Creative Marketing Manager. You will be working alongside a Senior Graphic Designer, Social Media Specialist and CGI artists on individual and combined initiatives for 8 months starting in April/ May 2025.This in-person role will collaborate directly with the team at Umbra’s Support Centre in Scarborough Ontario. - Design and assist with creation of creative marketing content
- Support marketing with research, layout, & design work as requested
- Organize and maintain graphics library in-line with department conventions
- Participate in the maintenance and evolution of department projects
- Clearly communicate ideas visually and verbally
Requirements
What you’ll bring…- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma in graphic design, image arts, communication design, or the equivalent or a recent graduate
- 2 years’ experience in graphic and or digital design is preferred
- Creative portfolio showcasing design thinking that integrates imagery and typography
- Demonstrated skill with design and layout software in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite,
- An understanding of graphic production methods for print and digital applications
- Experience using social media platforms and an appreciation for creative trends
- Works independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
- Excellent organization skills with a well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic with proven ability to adapt to changing priorities with a positive attitude
