Your Opportunity to Lead Transformation

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Wellness and Total Rewards Programs to lead and elevate our comprehensive employee wellness, compensation, and disability management programs. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and CHRO, you will be a trusted advisor, shaping a culture where people come first by delivering innovative programs that prioritize physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Your Role:

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Shape Our Wellness Strategy: Develop and implement a forward-thinking wellness strategy that aligns with Peel’s values, addressing physical, mental, and emotional health. You will continuously evaluate and adapt programs to meet evolving employee needs.
  • Lead Compensation and Benefits Programs: Drive competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring market alignment and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with external vendors to deliver tailored and impactful programs.
  • Drive Disability Management Excellence: Oversee disability management programs, including accommodations and return-to-work strategies. Partner with HR, legal, and health professionals to ensure compliance and support employee reintegration.
  • Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Develop and implement policies that uphold labour laws, health and safety standards, and disability regulations. Conduct audits to proactively manage compliance risks.
  • Inspire and Lead a High-Performing Team: Provide coaching and mentorship to a diverse HR team. Foster engagement and collaboration, cultivating a service-driven mindset that empowers internal and external partnerships.
  • Align with Strategic Business Goals: Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate HR strategies into organizational objectives. Analyze complex business challenges and proactively drive solutions that enhance workforce productivity.
  • Budget Stewardship: Partner with finance teams to manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.

Your Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience with a focus on wellness, total rewards, and compliance. Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Expertise in labour laws, health and safety, and disability management.
  • Proven track record in developing innovative corporate wellness and compensation programs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team-building experience.
  • Ability to foster trust and collaboration at all levels of the organization.

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve.

This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.

It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
