We source quality local ingredients whenever possible, and deliver in reusable, recyclable and compostable packaging. We offer 10 chef-created meal kit recipes each week, with options for many lifestyles and preferences including vegetarian and vegan.

What You'll Be Doing:
- You will be responsible for the ZW meal kit production department, which consists of 25 hourly staff.
- You will be a key player in leading the core of Fresh Prep’s automated production operation, alongside the engineering, maintenance, operational excellence and day-to-day operations teams.
- As a People Leader, you will ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly defined; performance expectations are well understood and adhered to; mentor Lead Hands, Runners and Production Staff through clear instruction, guidance and support; ensure effective training programs are in place; and manage employee feedback constructively.
- You will be accountable for budget and KPI alignment for the department. You will also determine and facilitate initiatives to improve year over year budget and KPI performance.
- You will be responsible for overseeing the planning of all production operations, including labour scheduling, material flow synchronization, line optimization and contingency plans.
- You will be responsible for other operational aspects including ensuring that food safety and GMP’s are consistently being adhered to; company SOP’s and policies are followed; and regulatory requirements are being met.
- You will conduct incident investigations and facilitate corrective actions. You will also be responsible for confirming corrective actions are effective, followed through and are sustained.
- You are passionate about general cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the production facility.
What We Are Looking For:
- 2 years of experience supervising productivity, efficiency, and process improvement in a manufacturing setting. Food manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- 2 years experience liaising with maintenance, engineering, purchasing, production, quality assurance and human resource departments.
- 2 years experience promoting key players, grooming direct reports and conducting employee performance management.
- Automated processing, production and/or packaging line experience preferred.
- Management of a production system utilizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics an asset.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and standardized sanitation operating procedures is an asset.
- Consistent weekly scheduling
