Purchasing Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for generating purchase orders, performing administrative tasks, and collaborating closely with our finance team. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

• Generate and manage purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Handle administrative tasks as needed to support the team and ensure smooth operations
• Work closely with sourcing and engineering teams to handle their vendor needs
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage communication regarding orders
• Utilize CRM and ERP systems to manage and track orders
• Ensure the accurate recording of all transactions in our Great Plains (GPAC) system
• Handle internal tasks and run errands as needed to support the team
• Maintain a detail-oriented demeanor in a fast-paced and demanding work environment
• Utilize IBM AS/400 and About Time software to streamline and automate processes where possible.
