Position Summary:
The apprentice electrician is a member of the technician team and supports the lead electrician, by working on a variety of construction and maintenance projects within the HVAC sector.
Responsibilities:
- Connect, test and maintain electrical systems.
- Install, alter, repair and maintain various electrical systems and related equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical code specifications.
- Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
- Work closely with lead electrician as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered apprentice with the appropriate provincial authority.
- 2nd year or higher apprenticeship is required.
- Residential experience would be an asset.
- Prior experience as an electrician apprentice required.
- Comfortable working outdoors.
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience.
- Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform the job.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings and blue prints.
- The ability to work occasional overtime and weekends as required.
- The successful incumbent must be able to meet the minimum requirements for our background check criteria.
