What is the opportunity?
As a key member of RBC Global Asset Management’s (GAM) Global Operations Transformation Office, you will play a pivotal role in managing product roadmaps and driving business value through the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.Collaborating closely with stakeholders, product management, and development teams, you will identify, prioritize, and deliver seamless integration across GAM’s Platforms.
In this role, you will partner with internal stakeholders across GAM Fund & Portfolio Operations, ETF Operations, and Institutional Operations in North America, with a primary focus on GAM’s Eagle Accounting platform. You will own the enhancement roadmap, lead change initiatives, and ensure smooth integration with supporting technology systems such as Gresham/Electra, SPOT, NAV Manager, Eagle Data Warehouse, and Eagle Performance.Additionally, you will contribute to both short- and long-term projects to address business needs, continuously improve offerings, and enhance operational capabilities.

What will you do?- Responsible for leading strategic initiatives focused on Eagle platform, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of transformation projects with broader organizational goals.
- Oversees Eagle Accounting enhancements, manage critical issues, provide audit support, maintain backlog and coordinate upgrades; collaborating closely with operational teams to deliver impactful results.
- Drive platform stability and automation to scale accounting operations, reducing manual oversight and improving efficiency.
- Act as the key point person for Eagle upgrades and enhancements on all Eagle Accounting matters, ensuring minimal impact on all stakeholders including Eagle Performance.
- Lead and prioritize enhancement initiatives, escalating critical issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate and contribute to stand-ups with operations, technology, and vendors to address process gaps, resolve challenges, and close incidents effectively.
- Define and evolve weekly Operations metrics and track progress, identify blockers, and manage project milestones and allocation budgets.
- Bridge technology and business by translating business needs to technical requirements, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution of initiatives between operations, technology, and vendors.
- Advise and act as a consultant to business owners and stakeholders to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement innovative solutions through policy, technology, or reporting solutions.
- Promote and implement innovative methods, including AI and automation, to enhance workflows, improve productivity, and adopt best practices.
- Support business through change management practices and build relationships across RBC and GAM to influence senior leaders and stakeholders to drive alignment and maximize use of existing tools and practices.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have- At least 8 years of experience in an operational role working with a wide range of investment instruments, including derivatives, fixed income, with a strong understanding of their workflows and complexities.
- Comprehensive hands-on experience with Eagle PACE & STAR, including expertise in accounting rules, security master, data flows, and performance measurement.
- Proven ability to problem-solve, lead business analysis initiatives, and successfully manage complex change management programs to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple project deadlines on an ongoing basis in a fast paced ever changing work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and data querying to interpret, validate, and troubleshoot accounting data.
- Familiarity with advanced reporting and visualization tools to track metrics and performance.
- Knowledge of AI applications for process improvement and automation.
- Experience with portfolio and project management in an agile environment, including reviewing business needs, defining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and risks.
