We are an Indian restaurant in Bedford in search of a skilled and motivated Chef. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in a beautiful fine restaurant serving vegetarian & vegan Indian food. You are welcome to venture, contributing your expertise in Indian cuisine to create a memorable dining experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, recipes, and food safety guidelines.

Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and food safety standards
Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Assist with food service tasks such as plating and garnishing dishes
Maintain a clean and organized and safe kitchen area
Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
Collaborate in designing and executing a distinctive menu showcasing the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine.
Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Contribute to menu development, offering creative insights and innovative ideas.
Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff.
Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and safety in the kitchen.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chef in Indian cuisine or a similar high-volume culinary setting.

In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, regional cuisines, and contemporary culinary trends.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff, management, and suppliers.

Creative flair and a passion for delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements: Culinary degree or equivalent experience.

Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior kitchen role.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
