Position Objective:
The Program Director of Perioperative Services, reporting to the Vice President of Clinical, provides strategic leadership and oversight for the perioperative services portfolio, which includes Operating Rooms and Cystoscopy, Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit, Pre-operative Care Unit and Surgical Day Care.The Program Director ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care that meets legal, regulatory, and professional standards while aligning with the organization's goals and objectives. In collaboration with the Chief/Physician Director, the Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and fosters the integration of best practices at Humber River Health.
Career Experience and Core Competencies:
Master’s Degree in Nursing or related discipline, registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), membership with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO), and clinical experience in acute services coupled with at least five years management experience working with a medical dyad partner and experience in business planning, resource management, program planning, development, evaluation and managing patient care services is required for this role.
