Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is looking for an individual who thrives in managing multiple, complex institutional projects and can deliver them on time, within scope, and on budget. As an Institutional Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead high-profile projects that will have a lasting impact on the community.
Job Description- Oversee and manage institutional projects from inception to completion, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Lead and manage project teams, providing direction and mentorship to junior staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues, implementing proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage change orders, claims, and subcontractor performance.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients.

The Successful Applicant- 8+ years of experience in project management with a focus on institutional projects ranging from $15 million to $80 million+.
- Experience in multiple institutional sectors, such as education, healthcare, or government projects.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or Gold Seal Certification considered a strong asset.
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and safety standards.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project, etc.).
