Store Manager

Adecco is actively seeking a Store Manager for our clients location in Thunder Bay, ON. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of $50,000 to $55,000 per annum. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in retail operations, preferably in a gas station or convenience store setting, with strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to a positive customer experience by ensuring products and services meet customer expectations.
• Managing on-site operations, including creating work schedules, allocating resources, and supervising employees.
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any operational issues or concerns.
• Ordering fuel, merchandise, and supplies, ensuring stock levels are adequate while minimizing waste.
• Adhering to all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers.
• Monitoring sales, tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures.
• Ensuring the gas station and retail store are clean, well-maintained, and presentable.
• Evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and supporting skills and productivity improvement.

Requirements:

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a gas station or convenience store setting.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Proven experience in managing budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing financial data.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering results.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices.
• Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant computer software.
• A clean criminal background check and reliable transportation are required.
