Lab Sampling Technician - Edmonton

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and safety-conscious Lab Sampling Technician to join our client’s team in Foster creek, AB. In this critical role, you will be responsible for collecting accurate and representative samples from various plant, field, and off-site locations to support essential analyses for our operations.
This includes both routine and non-routine sampling of waters, as well as sweet and sour gases and oils.

- Shift: Work Schedule / Hours of work: 12hours per day, 7on / 7off schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Support lab operation, safety and environmental systems
- Support stake holders on projects, R&D and operations optimization
- Troubleshoot plant process/sampling issues
- Look for and lead efforts to improve processes and procedures as it relates to position
- Carry out routine and non-routine lab sampling
- Communicate with Operations on plant issues impacting sampling and safety
- Ensure proper safety protocols are in place and in practice when performing duties
- Identify issues that impact safety, environment and/or production
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.
- Prior experience with lab or field sampling in an industrial or oil & gas environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to gas and oil sampling.
- Ability to work independently and in challenging environments, including outdoor and off-site settings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work long hours with physically demanding work, often outdoors and in the elements
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
