Responsibilities:
What Your day-to-day will look like as a Risk analysis Project manager:
Reporting to the Director of Risk Analysis, the professional will be responsible for all technical and management tasks related to the completion of risk analysis projects, in collaboration with the Project Director:
- Conduct toxicological and/or ecotoxicological risk assessments.
- Compile information and data (site environmental characterization, geochemistry, exposure parameters, physico-chemical properties, etc.).
- Document the toxicity of contaminants and estimate acceptable exposure levels.
- Model the environmental fate of contaminants in various media (multimedia modeling).
- Model human and ecological receptor exposure to contaminants (dose modeling).
- Prepare technical documentation and various reports, in English or French.
- Meet project budgets and deadlines.
- Assist in preparing service offers.
- Maintain client contact.
- Conduct literature reviews on various topics related to the toxicology of environmental contaminants (e.g., health effects, emerging contaminants, environmental fate of substances).
Qualifications:
What will set you apart:
- Experience in toxicological or ecotoxicological risk analysis (a significant asset).
- Knowledge of Quebec and Canadian risk assessment procedures and regulations for managing contaminated sites.
- A university degree in chemistry or environmental toxicology.
- Fluency in French and English (writing reports): Due to the diversity of our team and the need to communicate with local, pan-Canadian, and international clients and partners, the ability to understand and communicate in both languages is essential.
- Excellent skills in using computerized tools (environmental modeling, databases, mapping, etc.).
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong writing skills for scientific reports, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
