Senior Business Analyst

Overview:
IDG/IDC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Data Warehouse and Analytics Team.
This role will be part of a small team reporting to the IT Product Manager responsible for managing IDG data warehouse.
The ideal candidate for this position is a creative problem solver with the ability to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders while leading the development efforts for the analytics team.
This position offers SBA the opportunity to:
- Leverage your expertise to shape the vision, and oversee the backlog for a data warehouse and a repository of dashboards and reports crucial for supporting key business strategies and operational requirements.
- Engage in various essential tasks, ranging from analyzing requirements and integrating data sources to generating valuable insights that facilitate informed decision-making based on data.
- Collaborate with IDGs Senior Leadership, as well as leaders across all business lines and functions.
- Utilize your strong technical & communication skills to discuss technical concepts with technical and non-technical colleagues.
This job is on a hybrid schedule located in our Greater Toronto office where you will be required to come into the office 1-2 days a week.

Responsibilities:
- Create, define, and manage the vision, roadmap, backlog, and sprints for a Data Warehouse / BI development team.
- Communicate the vision, roadmap and progress to the IT and business leadership.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to develop internal analytics solutions in support of business-critical company strategies and operational needs.
- Elicitation, organization, translation, analysis and prioritization of both business level and functional requirements from both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Manage stakeholder expectations by negotiating project scopes and success metrics.
- Identify data needs across the company and properly prioritize the competing interests.
- Establish sustainable processes ensuring data integrity within internal systems.
- Strengthen end user relationships.
- Work with offshore developers to manage the data warehouse and develop PBI dashboards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years in data warehousing or 4-5+ years work experience in business analysis
- Fluency in written and spoken English language
- Knowledge of relational databases and/or data warehouses
- Basic SQL (query multiple tables at the same time)
- Experience with a data visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with data modeling
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with SDLC using agile methodology
- Demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A strategic mindset that allows you to anticipate the enduring effects of a product on client success and organizational expansion
- Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects for yourself and the team
Nice to have:

- Ability to tell a story by highlighting key information
- Previous experience with building a data warehouse/BI report
