The opportunity:
As a Corporate Finance intern, you will support the Corporate Finance team with the preparation of monthly deliverables and other process improvement projects. The intern candidate will have an opportunity to work across different finance sub-functions such as but not limited to: Consolidation, SOX, FP&A, in order to build their knowledge and expertise in these fields to complement their areas of study.
The role
SOX- Assist in the preparation of the FY2024 audit procedures, such as compiling and testing key IT reports, preparing flowcharts, testing SOX controls and other miscellaneous projects within the Corporate SOX Compliance group.
- Support in the month-end/quarter-end reporting process and prepare deliverables -such as Accounting Fees Memo.
- Assist in preparation of weekly/monthly presentations for various operating rhythms
- Perform closing procedures and variance analysis
- Assist in preparation of process maps and standard operating procedures
- Studies in Finance or related field (accounting, commerce, economics, business administration)
- Relevant course work/projects/experience in the field of interest, or relevant leadership or community involvement experience.
- This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
