Accounting Technician

• Perform bank reconciliations;
• Record accounts payable and disbursements;
• Record cash receipts;
• Participate in month-end process (prepare worksheets, record journal entries, prepare sales tax remittance, record payroll entries, reconcile inter-company);
• Canadian and U.S. sales tax reporting;
• Assistance with fixed assets section, tracking disposals, calculating depreciation and disposing of batches of lost and obsolete equipment in the system;
• Participate in annual audit files;
• Assist with tax audit files.

• Experience with the full accounting cycle and basic accounting analyses;
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, particularly Excel;
• Thoroughness and attention to detail;
• Good team spirit and collaboration;
• Good management of priorities and respect for deadlines and tight deadlines;
• Strong ability to work under pressure and adapt to change;
• Strong customer focus;
• Enthusiastic team player with proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality;
• Ability to communicate information clearly and logically;
• Fluency in French and English required to communicate with teams in other Canadian provinces.
• DEC technical diploma in administration, accounting/finance option, or other relevant training;
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in an accounting technician position;
