HR Business Partner
Full-time position, temporary 15 monthsBased in Montreal

Missions/Main Duties:
Mission
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning corporate objectives with those of employees and management in designated business units. He or she establishes partnerships across the HR function to provide management and employees with value-added services that reflect the organization's objectives.The HRBP maintains an effective level of knowledge of the business unit's financial situation, medium-term plans, culture and competition.
Responsibilities- Holds frequent meetings with respective business units (leaders/managers) to understand their current and future needs.
- Consults with line managers, providing HR advice where appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborates with the Legal Department as required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management advice to line managers (e.g. coaching, objective setting, performance appraisals, counseling, career development, disciplinary measures).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve working relationships, boost morale and increase productivity and retention.
- Provides advice and interpretation of human resources management policies and procedures.
- Draws up contractual conditions for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Assists in the recruitment and integration of foreign employees as part of their impatriation or expatriation assignments and related human resources issues.
- Provides advice and information on business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning.
- Identifies business unit training needs and individual executive coaching requirements. Participates in the evaluation and follow-up of training programs to ensure their success. Follows up to ensure that training objectives are met.
- Develop and deliver human resources training for managers and employees.
- Contribute to improving HR department performance against RED Book KPIs.
- Contribute to projects related to compensation and benefits, organizational development and training and development.
- Prepare and launch surveys
- Work with managers and employees to improve general well-being (mental and physical health).
- Conduct exit interviews and investigate root causes of employee departures
Profile/Skills:
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field such as labor relations
Years of experience A minimum of 5 years' proven professional experience in the field of human resources
Technical skills :
Experience in engineering.
Experience in international mobility.
Working knowledge of human resources systems and software.
Ability to research, analyze and make logical decisions within a given timeframe.
Up-to-date knowledge of recruitment strategies and employment legislation.
Excellent writing skills to present clear and fair company policies.
Personal qualities :
Bilingual (French and English), to be able to interact with all stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at different levels, including senior staff.
Proven leadership skills.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
