Status: 1 Contract Full Time (13 Months)Salary Range: $78,336 - $97,920 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits, where applicable)

Who we are:The Early Years and Child Care Services Division is responsible for the local planning, funding and oversight of licensed child care services and EarlyON programs in Peel. Through collaboration and advocacy efforts with internal and external partners, we work together to achieve our goals.
The Role:
As the Analyst, Early Years and Child Care, you will have a dedicated focus on providing research, data analysis, program evaluation and planning supports to the Service System Manager in the planning and management of Early Years and Child Care programs and services in Peel.
What you will do in this role:
- Support early years’ research, evaluation and information needs at the community, regional and provincial level
- Actively engage in the development of program models to support new and changing initiatives in early years
- Collect, analyze, and report on information relevant to the community and/or early years sector using sophisticated software and analytic tools (such as Power BI, Excel, SPSS, etc.)
- Utilize geographic information system tools (such as ArcView) to prepare maps
- Liaise with key partners
- Build capacity within the sector to understand and apply information and early years’ research
What the role requires:
- Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, including courses on social statistics and statistical analysis or a combination of education and experience may be considered
- At least 3 years of previous experience in data collection, analysis, research and program evaluation
- Client focused and able to apply sound judgment to support good decision making in response to complex and sensitive issues
- Knowledge and ability to interpret relevant legislation including the Ontario Child Care and EarlyON Child & Family Centres Service Management & Funding Guideline, the Child Care & Early Years Act, 2014, MFIPPA, ODSP, Housing Services, Residential Tenancy and Human Rights Act
- Knowledge of Human Services program areas including, Early Years Child Care Services, Financial and Employment, Social Housing and Homelessness
- Working knowledge of Human Services technology including Ontario Child Care Management System, SAMS, EIM and MS Office
Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
- Excellent computer skills using SPSS/STATA/SAS, Power BI, Excel, and Mapping Software (such as ArcView)
- Ability to coordinate the collection of data and synthesize, analyze and communicate information from multiple sources
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), project management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Early Childhood development would be an asset

Work Mode & Job Location:
In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve.This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
