Pharmacist

What We Offer:
- Competitive Pay: $55-60 per hour (based on experience)
- Consistent Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm
- Work-Life Balance: Closed on weekends and statutory holidays
- On-Call Rotation: Afterhours on-call work required, on a rotational basis
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to potential schedule changes based on business needs (including possible evenings or weekends)

Your Responsibilities:As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications, leading pharmacy operations, and providing excellent patient care. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Dispensing Coordination: Supervise and manage all prescription dispensing activities, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Patient Care: Provide clinical functions such as patient counseling, documentation, and pharmaceutical care, while communicating with healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists).
- Leadership & Quality Assurance: Oversee technical staff, maintain quality assurance standards, and ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are adhered to.
- Process Management: Prioritize and manage production processes to meet critical patient needs.
- Clinical Engagement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support drug preparation and compounding when needed.
- Facility Oversight: Monitor equipment, materials, and procedures, recommending improvements where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Pharmacist: Must be licensed to practice in British Columbia by the BC College of Pharmacists.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent homecare or clinical experience. IV experience, hospital, or outpatient setting experience is a plus (though not required).
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Familiarity with computer systems, Kroll experience preferred but not required.
- Additional Assets: Certification to administer injections is beneficial but not mandatory.
