We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support the day-to-day front desk operations of a contract opportunity with an IT software company in Waterloo, Ontario. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, deliveries, and general office communication while helping maintain a welcoming and organized workplace.

The successful candidate will bring strong customer service skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage a range of administrative tasks with care and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors upon arrival, provide direction as needed, and ensure a positive front office experience.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing courier shipments, including arranging deliveries and tracking packages when required.
  • Prepare and dispatch computer equipment and other office materials to employees or designated locations.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system, respond to general inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support basic administrative activities such as data entry, scheduling, and maintaining organized records.
  • Assist with meeting and common area readiness by preparing coffee and helping with light office support tasks.
  • Monitor front desk activity and help keep the reception area organized, tidy, and functional at all times.
