What is the opportunity?
RBC is hiring for an exciting Manager, Marketing Analytics role. In this role, you will work closely with the Sr. Manager, Marketing Analytics and collaborate with Product groups, Channel partners and Marketing leads across Personal and Commercial Banking as well as Insurance platforms to help drive business results by developing optimized marketing solutions enabled through business and marketing analyses.
What will you do?- Interact with Business and Marketing partners to understand priorities in order to define and conduct analytics to meet these objectives
- Develop actionable analyses and insights to help develop optimized marketing campaigns and enable product groups and Marketing to meet their campaign strategy objectives
- Construct dashboard and reporting prototypes and work closely with the Data Enablement and Reporting team to ensure campaign and channel measurement metrics are delivered appropriately
- End-to-end responsibility for analyses including framing and negotiating analytical objectives with partners, sourcing relevant data, performing in-depth analyses and presenting actionable insights to stakeholders in timely and effective manner
- Identify revenue enhancing and cost saving opportunities while ensuring relevant insights are being applied to evolve strategies
- Apply experimental design, test and learn methodologies and perform statistical analyses (significance tests, segmentation, regression, decision tree, etc.) where needed to optimize strategies
- Collaborate in a cross-functional team environment in marketing stages to review business cases, verify campaign design documents, project financial impact and develop analytical plans to ensure analytical requirements are captured and analytical objectives are well understood and meaningful
- Develop new methods and techniques to analyze a variety of marketing programs like acquisition, growth, retention, cross-sell, media, triggers, online and transformational initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- 2+ years of experience strong technical skills (i.e. SAS, SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau)
- 1-2 years of experience in a client facing analytical database marketing or related role. Proven knowledge in the application of experimental design and statistical analysis of results
- Strong business acumen and analytical, communication and presentation skills with demonstrated proactive leadership in a cross functional environment
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to conceptualize strategy independently
- Attention to detail, organization, ability to multi task and time management is critical
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, econometrics, computer science)
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in financial services industry with broad understanding of marketing, product management, sales, finance, pricing and risk management
- Experience working with large data sets to produce insights for consumption by business or marketing partners
