Geotechnical Project Manager

Adecco is currently hiring a Project Manager – Geotechnical/Geoscience for a full-time permanent opportunity in Burlington or Mississauga. This role is ideal for an experienced construction and geotechnical professional who enjoys managing complex projects, leading multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of vibrant residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal communities.
In this position, you will oversee geotechnical construction projects from initiation through completion while ensuring quality execution, client satisfaction, and alignment with project schedules and budgets.
- Salary: $100,000 to $140,000 annually
- Location: Burlington, ON or Mississauga, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Employment Type: Permanent, full-time

- Manage a variety of geotechnical construction projects from initiation through completion across residential, industrial, commercial, and municipal sectors
- Oversee day-to-day construction site operations including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure accurate project execution
- Monitor project performance to ensure quality, scheduling, and financial objectives are achieved
- Liaise with clients, consultants, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout project lifecycles
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to geotechnical field staff and junior project managers
- Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate field inspections, quality assurance processes, material testing, and site reporting activities
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Prepare project documentation including progress reports, change orders, and project close-out documentation
- Support multidisciplinary collaboration across engineering and construction teams
- Perform additional project-related duties as required
- Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management or site supervision
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, contract administration, and Ontario health and safety regulations (OHSA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical writing and reporting abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is considered an asset
- Familiarity with construction design software such as AutoCAD is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Successful Criminal Records Check completed within 6 months of start date
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification is considered an asset
