Heavy Duty Mechanic
Adecco is actively seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our client’s team in Carleton Place, ON. In this full-time role, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy-duty farm machinery both in the shop and on-site at customer locations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, solving problems independently, and interacting with customers. You'll work with a knowledgeable service team, have access to ongoing training, and play a key role in keeping essential equipment running smoothly across the region.
- Pay Rate: $35-$40/hour.
- Location: Carleton Place, ON
- Shift: 40 hours/week (Monday–Friday, rotating weekends as needed)

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and recondition heavy machinery sold by the dealership
- Install and configure new equipment per specifications and customer requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs
- Troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and interpret findings accurately
- Travel to customer locations for on-site service and repairs
- Maintain organized records of repairs, parts used, and service reports
- Train customers on equipment use and preventative maintenance
- Support other departments to enhance overall customer satisfaction
- Stay current with product knowledge, participate in training, and attend team meetings
- Adhere to company safety policies, manuals, and employee guidelines
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic abilities
- Knowledge of agricultural equipment (preferred)
- Familiarity with safety regulations and field service best practices
- Experience in repair shops, dealerships, or warehouse settings
- Basic computer skills for inventory and service record management
- Ability to lift and manage heavy equipment and parts
- Valid driver’s license for travel to customer sites
- High School Diploma or GED (asset)
