Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and support in day-to-day operations to the IT Infrastructure and Operations team
• Design, implement and maintain IT Infrastructure solutions, including servers, network, cloud services
• Ensure high availability of College's network and infrastructure solutions while maintaining an elevated security posture to industry standard
• Conduct presentations to IT management and the IT Steering Committee
• Prepare annual budget estimate for infrastructure related expenditures
• Develop and maintain a regular cadence on disaster recovery, backups and assist in maintaining a business continuity plan
• Work closely with cross functional teams to assess and meet the required technology needs
• Monitor, optimize and report system performance, reliability and resiliency through periodic assessments and upgrades
• Build and publish Operational KPIs that support College's internal business needs
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure roadmaps
• Draft RFP's and RFQ's for College procurement approval
• Negotiate, maintain and monitor service level agreements with vendors

The Successful Applicant

• Minimum undergraduate degree in the field of Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Five to seven years of demonstrated experience in the field.
• Expert knowledge of network design, systems management, and IT operations management.
• A leader with superior initiative, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with team supervision ensuring teams are meeting deadlines in delivering complex projects
• Certifications on network infrastructure, security and project management are considered an asset for this role
• The incumbent must possess knowledge in current technologies and best practices in all areas of IT infrastructure and operations.
• Ability to multi-task with a high degree of focus is essential
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
