Overview:
The Sushi Cook is responsible for preparing a wide variety of sushi dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high-quality, beautifully presented dishes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Due to the nature of this venue, the successful candidate must be comfortable working outdoors.
This role pays an hourly rate of $23.00 CAD.

This is a seasonal role from approximately June 1st 2025- October 15th 2025.
EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.
Responsibilities:
- Creating and preparing all types of sushi according to the menu
- Manage food preparation activities
- Coordinate with other staff members to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
- Monitor food stock and place orders, as needed
- Recommend new, modern recipes
- Maintain hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean your space at the end of the shift
- Follow safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe environment
- Keep a clean and organized workspace and maintain a professional
- Ensure company and kitchen standards are met at all times
- Ensure quality of food and portion control
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1–2-year experience in preparing sushi
- Knife skills and good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
- Coachable, reliable and has the “can do” attitude
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Concise communication skills and effective team player
- Must be innovative, detail oriented and quality conscious, always keeping updated on new trends in the hospitality industry
- Must be able to work different shifts, which may include holidays, evenings and weekends
- Able to legally work in Canada
